Georgia Mountain Community Wind Open House and Dedication Ceremony

Georgia Mountain Community Wind invites you to an Open House and Dedication Ceremony  Sunday, June 9th to celebrate the commissioning of the Georgia Mountain Wind project!

The 10 MW wind energy farm is a celebration of the growth of Vermont’s green jobs and the success of local community wind.  The power from the project supplies the electric customers of Burlington.  The event will celebrate the numerous Vermont businesses who participated in and contributed to the success of Georgia Mountain Community Wind, including the local financing by Merchants Bank.

GMCW is owned by two local business leaders and life-long Vermonters, David Blittersdorf and Jim Harrison.  This project and the adjoining maple sugar operation fit right in to Vermont’s proud tradition of self-reliance and a productive, renewable landscape.

Bring along family, friends, and your camera! (No pets please)

Refreshments will be provided and information guides will be available.
